Garden In Harmony With Nature!

Don't be afraid to use "kinder, gentler" concepts when you garden. Sometimes it's easier than you think!

Instead of herbicides - Use mulch or groundcovers to prevent weeds in your flowerbeds.

Instead of using pesticides on every plant in your garden - Target your pesticide just on those plants which are actually suffering.

Instead of frustration - Garden in such a way that you are working with the needs of your plants, rather than forcing them to tolerate a condition to which they aren't suited.

Make Friends With Nature

There are many natural gardening allies waiting to help you have the most outstanding garden possible:

Colorful, fascinating birds are hungry for the insect pests that are munching away at your plants.

The humble earthworm will be glad to aerate your garden soil for you, fertilizing it in the process.

Your plants themselves will reward you with healthier growth & less diseases if you don't push them too hard with overly potent fertilizers.

Help Your Garden Grow - Don't Force It!

In this "How To" section I want to share the gardening techniques that I use in my own home garden. I know that some of what I do is probably considered old-fashioned, but it works very well for me here in my home garden, and it may work for you, too.
